We are the United Disciples of Christ Church. We are part of the greater body of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), a denomination born on the American frontier in West Virginia and Kentucky in the early 1800s. We remain a uniquely American “frontier church” today. Our founders, Alexander Campbell and Barton W. Stone, espoused the motto which remains ours today: “In matters of faith, unity. In matters of opinion, liberty. In all things, love.” Early motto – Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

Some of our women attend a Women’s Retreat each spring by going to Christmount in Black Mountain, NC for the weekend. Plans have begun to prepare for the retreat this spring! Mark your calendar now and contact the church office to make plans to attend April 8-10, 2016!
We are blessed with the ability to start some landscaping thanks to the generous donations from the congregation. If you should choose to help out by making a donation, please feel free to contact the church office. We would like to extend our thanks to Rita Lovejoy with Granny's Greenhouse and her crew for making the grounds of United look so beautiful.
